A Chocolate Canvas
The girls love chocolate, but what do they love more - eating it or using it as paint? Grandma Fay would be proud.

The weather has been pretty crazy here in Maryland. As I write this, it feels like 20 degrees outside, and the wind is really blowing like crazy. I cannot believe just this past Monday, MLK day, that it was close to 70 degrees outside. We went with Grandpa Vince to the park, fed the ducks, and played on the swings.
Well, we made it through our first photo with Santa. The line was not as crazy as we thought it might be. The girls were enjoying themselves quite nicely…that is, until they saw Santa for the first time! Here is a nice candid moment from their first encounter with Father Christmas.
I thought I’d share some holiday wallpaper you might want to put on your computer desktop, courtesy of The Deskstop. To download the original size, first click on the desired image below, choose “Different Sizes” under “Additional Information” on the right-hand side of the image, and then save the original image size.
Can you recommend any festive wallpapers? Enjoy!
…You fall asleep at 6:30 pm in the middle of dinner.
So, they fell asleep early and they didn’t eat or drink a lot. Question is, will they wake up in the middle of the night, starving?
Yesterday we reached a milestone at the Fay household. Drum roll please…Emily is walking! The girls can stand on their own, but yesterday I asked Emily to come to me and she walked up to four steps. Thatta girl! Not to be outdone, Isabel walked as well - perhaps it was a bit more of a forward-momentum lunge, but I’ll call it bona fide first steps as well.
Recent weeks have also changed some of the baby babble to legitimate-sounding words. Words like “car” and “cup” uttered while pointing to the object in question are becoming more and more typical. Now that the Christmas tree is up, it’s been fun teaching the girls colors while pointing to each light.

I stumbled across this interesting gift idea today…
Do we want our girls to be divas for the holidays?
The girls had a great time going Trick-or-Treating for the first time. We have a soft spot in our hearts for this day since the girls were brought home from the hospital on Halloween day, 2005.
