4 Pounds and Counting!

Just a quick update…Laurel had another doctor appointment this past Monday. Both mom and the kids are doing great. Both babies weigh about 4 pounds already (@ almost 32 weeks) - almost a pound more than when doctors last checked 3 weeks prior to this appointment!

Here’s what Babycenter.com has to say about what to expect at week 32:

“It’s getting awfully snug in there! Your baby weighs almost 4 pounds and is almost 17 inches long. You’re gaining a pound a week now, and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, he’ll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next seven weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb.”

Wow! So, our little ones might weigh approximately 6 pounds each when they’re born (tentative early delivery date of November 8th).

As an aside, we received word from Buy Buy Baby that they discontinued the two crib sets we registered for. Therefore, I picked them up yesterday so we could be sure to get them while they were still available. I’ll try to take a picture in the near future of the adorned cribs so you can see the crib set pattern…
